Long-Term Lubrication:
The active ingredients of Kettenwixe forms a firm bond with metal shell surfaces. In addition, Kettenwixe is an active ingredient that remains on and inside the chain link and is constantly redistributed by the turning movement of the chain links -"Self Relubrication Effect". This enables very long lubrication intervals. We expect about 100 to 150 kilometers under difficult terrain conditions and more than 400 kilometers under optimal conditions.
Minimum Wear:
A special feature of Kettenwixe forms a pressure resistant lubrication film. In friction tests Kettenwixe achieved a friction wear value of 1250 kp/cm². By comparison, to the best tested product of a competitor (or test winner) reaches a value of only 1000 kp/cm². Kettenwixe makes it possible to minimize the wear of highly stressed internal surfaces of the chain.
Minimum Dirt:
Dirt on the chain can lead to increased wear and maintenance of the entire drive, especially in the current 10- and 11-speed components. The active ingredients in Kettenwixe is a washing resistant oil which protects the chain against corrosion and ensures a smooth running of the chain and parts. Kettenwixe reducedes the build-up of dirt in "All-Conditions".
